Election previews (Iowa & Taiwan) / A.I. impersonates George Carlin
Hey there: happy Friday! Hope you’ll make time this weekend to check out today’s show…
George Carlin fans may have a lot to say about a new comedy special. He didn’t make it - an AI impersonator did! More on the special, reaction from Carlin’s daughter, and an excerpt. What do you think?
Also, two big elections are coming up: the GOP Iowa caucus on Monday, and Taiwan’s presidential election on Saturday. Taiwan’s vote could reshape America’s relationship with China.
Plus, Israel makes its case against genocide charges brought by South Africa. A brief update from the International Court of Justice.
And a statue of William Penn drew a sharp reaction online, and a quick backpedaling from the National Park Service. I hate the so-called “culture wars”, but this one might reveal something important about how we think of our country’s legacy.
Have a wonderful weekend… stay warm!
